Local Schools & Colleges

Colleyville's student population is served by the schools of the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District, which includes 11 elementary schools (pre-K-5), 4 middle schools (6-8), and 2 high schools, Grapevine High School and Colleyville High School. The high schools have been recognized by Newsweek magazine and various other media outlets for its curriculum and programs.

In addition to GCISD, students living in the northwestern most portions of Colleyville attend Keller High School, which is a part of the Keller Independent School District. Other smaller portions of the community are zoned to Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District, Birdville Independent School District, and Carroll Independent School District. The closest private school in the area is Colleyville Covenant Christian Academy, which caters to pre-K-12 students.

For higher education, students can commute to Irving which is home to North Lake College and University of Dallas. Dallas is home to Dallas Baptist University, while Fort Worth is home to Texas Christian University. The University of Texas at Arlington is also located nearby.

Community Groups

If you're new to the community or are looking to meet people and make friends, joining a community group is an excellent way to do so. Colleyville has quite a few special interest groups that will surely pique your interest. A few of these include the Colleyville Garden Club, Colleyville Lions Club, Colleyville Rotary Club, Colleyville Woman's Club, Colleyville Public Library Foundation, and Friends of the Arts.

Community Parks

Colleyville's Parks and Recreation department does an excellent job maintaining the community's parks and open spaces for its citizens. All of Colleyville's parks feature their own set of unique amenities, with some including trails, picnic areas, and even an amphitheatre such as on the one at the Colleyville Nature Center.

Colleyville's parks include: Bransford Park; City Park; Colleyville Nature Center; Kidsville; Kimzey Park; McPherson Park; Pleasant Run Soccer Complex and Park; Reagan Park; Sparger Park; and Woodbriar Park. Hiking can be done along the Cotton Belt Trail and the historic Webb House is located in Bransford Park.
